Valentine’s Day. A day of love. One of the things I love most about working with young students is the way they carry their hearts in their hand. For the most part, their love is given freely.
Some kids require you to work for their love.
Some kids need to know you love them first.
Some kids may never tell or show you their love.
What matters is that you make them feel loved.
For some, it means a listening ear and affirmative words.
For others, it means giving them trinkets for them to keep.
For others, it means being calm when they can not.
Traditionally, giving presents is a way of showing love to others on Valentine’s Day. In the past, I have ordered some Valentine themed items from Oriental Trading to hand out. This year, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to hand-make my students something special.
I made these book marks to give to my students. You can find them for free in my TpT store. Click here or on the image below to find them!
To make the gift more meaningful, I added a personal note to the back of each one before laminating.
How are you showing love on Valentine’s Day?
